GET FUCKED UP

Formed in Toronto, Canada, in April 2001, Fucked Up play fast hardcore in the vein of Youth Of Today, Negative Approach, and Antidote. “We wanted to pick a name that was a word a lot of people already used in their common speech,” explains guitarist 10,000 Marbles of the confrontational name. “Tons of punk kids say "fucked up", to describe every sort of situation. Now when they say it, they have to think about our band. It relates, in that the message of our band is wanting to command the attention of people, and to find subtle ways to get into their brains.”

Fucked Up play Cardiff for the first time at the behest of Damaged Records, the punk/HC stall run from Jacob’s Antique Market. Support on the night comes courtesy of State Run, Savage Henry, and what may be the only ever live performance from UK hardcore project band Violent Arrest, who promise a set of 12 songs in 14 minutes. Doors open at 8pm, with admission fixed at £5.
