THE INNER CHORUS

TUNNG/SOFT-HEARTED SCIENTISTS PLAY CLWB IFOR BACH, MAY 19

Tunng is the brainchild of Mike Lindsay, an electronic producer inspired by the whimsy and mystique of the auld English folk. Joined by singer Sam Genders and a small troupe of collaborators, on new album 'Comments Of The Inner Chorus' - out May on Full Time Hobby - the pair pioneer an enchanting, warmly experimental songcraft that the term 'folktronica' may suggest, but frankly, struggles to do justice. Dancing, Morris-style, between the ancient and the modern, live performances feature everything from shimmering electronic glitch-outs to a rendition of 'Maypole Song' from The Wicker Man

Support on the night comes from fellow forward-thinking folkies Soft Hearted Scientists, still promoting their debut collection 'Ordinary Tales From The Everyday Undergrowth' on Cardiff's My Kung Fu records. Tickets retail for £6, available now from thedudesabode.com and clwb.net
